Nomi Prins was the Banking on Colorado: Bringing Our Money Home Conference keynote speaker. She has extensive experience on Wall Street as a former Managing Director at Goldman Sachs and former Senior Managing Director at Bear Stearns. Prins currently is a Senior Fellow at Demos. She is the author of several books, the most recent being All the Presidents’ Bankers: The Hidden Alliances that Drive American Power. She is a strong advocate for public banking.

Craig Barnes, former Denver resident and civil rights attorney, is the founder of Banking on New Mexico, a citizens’ action group advocating for public banking in New Mexico. He has been interviewing important people on KSFR since 2009 on his weekly program Our Times with Craig Barnes. Craig is the author of several books — Democracy at the Crossroads, In Search of the Lost Feminine, and Growing Up True, about this childhood on the plains in Littleton, CO in the 1940s and 1950s.
